A few days ago, production of new machine models started at the VIKING plant in Langkampfen - the so-called ride-on mowers of the R4 Series are now rolling off the production line. Typical for ride-on mowers of this type is the rear-mounted engine. The latest VIKING innovation is manufactured in two different model versions, which differ in terms of their drive.
The MR 4082 K model is driven by a Briggs & Stratton engine and the MR 4082 K comfort model has a particularly smooth-running, 2-cylinder Kawasaki engine under the hood. The ride-on mowers with numerous ingenious ergonomic details and a cutting width of 80 centimetres, are suitable for mowing lawns of up to approx. 4,000 square metres.
Just before the start of the spring gardening season, there is a further reason for celebration at gardening power tool manufacturer VIKING. Having just been launched onto the market, the VIKING ME 339 C electric lawn mower secured the "universal design award 2011" in the leisure/lifestyle category. The prizes were presented to the winners at the beginning of March within the context of the CeBIT in Hanover, Germany. For the judges, simple, intuitive use of the products was just as decisive as the criteria reliability, degree of innovation and sustainability.
The prize-winning 3 Series electric lawn mower is also available as a battery-powered version. These latest VIKING lawn mowers for smaller lawn areas are of a light-weight and compact design as well as being low-noise and free of exhaust emissions. The single-arm mono comfort handlebar makes emptying the grass catcher box even more effortless.
